Compared to the Glock 43, the barrel of the P365 is 0.29 inches shorter; 0.02 inches in width, 0.46 inches shorter in overall length, and the P365 holds ten rounds compared to the G43's six. Compared to the Springfield XD-S, the P365 is 0.1 inches taller, holds three more laps, is 0.5 inches shorter overall, and 5.2 ounces lighter. The P365 is slightly wider than the M&P Shield and Ruger LC9S and both have seven rounds. Sig has a lot to be proud of with its new hybrid mag design and increased capacity. I was lucky enough to get one of the first P365s to review and shoot and evaluate, so I wanted to share with you my results and thoughts. Thanks to Sig Sauer for the opportunity to scrutinize it. In my recent book, "Pistol and Handgun Basics," I thoroughly analyzed, compared, and ranked my top 21 concealed carry picks, including handguns. 9mm compact and compact. Well, I want to tell you about this new P365 here so you can compare and judge for yourself among your top picks. Below I will review the background information about P365 and some of its features, then compare them with my criteria. First, I wanted to list you the pistol specs and features in my Sig Sauer P365 review. Then I came up with ten criteria that I use to rate all firearms. When evaluating your carry weapon, define your goals, objectives, and Criteria in advance. Then objectively compare each of your possible weapon choices to each of your specific criteria separately, and honestly compare apples to apples, not oranges. Finally, I want to give you my analysis of each criterion along with my opinion and make a final recommendation on whether to buy a P365, for what purpose. . I was wondering if there are currently any custom holsters and accessories for the new Sig Sauer P365. Yes, Blackpoint Tactical has partnered with Sig Sauer to develop a custom holster for the P365. Blackpoint Tactical offers it both an APX holster inside the waistband appendage (AIWB) and a standard holster outside the waistband (OWB). The AIWB Kydex holster uses Tuck Strut to create leverage against your body, helping to pull the gun closer and relieve pressure. It retails for under $80. The OWB Kydex holster features metal loops, tilt options, swivel buckle for adjustment, and a slim profile. It also sells for less than $80. Both are custom-fit cases for the P365.
Clinger Holsters offers a Kydex and leather hybrid OWB holster, the V2 Super Concealer Holster. It converts to an IWB holster, has a wide opening for easy holster placement and pulls the gun close to the frame to ease printing. In fact, you get two cases for the price of one. It retails for under $60. Clinger Holsters also offers a custom V2 Stingray IWB holster with an adjustable tilt, wide opening for easy holster storage, and a large viewing channel. These custom cases sell for under $40.
These are just ten criteria and factors I use when evaluating any pistol. So I'm using them for this Sig Sauer P365 review. In addition to my criteria, other subjective features may be of interest to some. For example: specific style, flag drop position, action, caliber, form, number of markers included, scope/modifier type, drill shaft, rail, grip angle, no displacement or displacement, additional accessories such as carrying cases and bags, and customer service. So I incorporated these into my final miscellaneous criteria.
Hands On: Sig Sauer P365 Review [9mm Micro Compact]
I have to admit that all gun selection decisions involve compromise, but I wanted a gun that met all of my criteria. I give each of my ten criteria the total possible score is 10 points, the total score is 100 points. You can certainly add additional criteria and settings or subtract any of my criteria and settings.

I was eager to shoot the P365 and fired about 250 rounds for field testing. For this review, I took pictures of:
Shooting this variety of ammo gives me a feel for how the P365 can handle different types and types of ammo. The P365 is rated +P for ammo, but I didn't fire any bullets for this review. I usually fire 500 rounds in a few days to decide if I want to carry a gun, but I got the information I needed after about 250 rounds. I'll take more shots to confirm the initial estimate. Sig P365 X Macro: It's A 17+1. Here Are The Details
When I first picked up the P365, it was very light at 17 ounces, and I can tell that there are tightly machined parts that match the usual Sig quality. Sliding into the stand is easy, it has rounded edges and a small width of 1" and height of 4.3" made me realize this would be a great concealed carry option.
The P365's obvious advantage, of course, is its "modified" double-stacked, tapered magazine that holds ten rounds. Some call this innovative hybrid magazine design a "semi-dual" magazine. This magazine has a tight cartridge, staggered vertically and narrower at the top to allow the cartridges to line up evenly. The two top revolutions of the tapered magazine form a vertical stack that overlaps in a vertical line, ensuring reliable feeding. I am very impressed with this technique. It works well to increase capacity; 10 rounds +1 in the chamber. An optional 12-round magazine is also available, sold separately, to increase capacity.
I expect heavy recoil from its lightweight, 3-inch short barrel, and compact body. But although the recoil is a bit stiff, it can be easily handled with a very tight grip and locking the wrist. My wife, with her weak hand, was able to control it well. Heavier loads result in a strong recoil, and we both like the 115-grain FMJ ammo for better control and precision in this small gun. But this is a self-defense gun that requires shots at Hollow Point. PRACTICE! The P365 feels good in my medium-sized hand, and it's great for my wife's small (but pretty) hands.
